Text: These clients wanted a private, usable outdoor space that felt warm and intentional within a narrow urban yard. We installed a bluestone patio for a clean, durable foundation and built a custom cedar pergola to define the seating area while keeping the space open and light. Horizontal cedar fencing was used to add privacy without making the yard feel closed in. A new drainage system was integrated beneath the patio to allow proper water flow and prevent standing water, ensuring the space functions just as well as it looks.
