OUR HISTORY

True Patio is a complete landscaping company with roots going back to 26 years ago, which eventually led our service to expand to central New Jersey, And Northern New Jersey.

Our management and field teams have decades of experience in the landscape construction industry. Many of us have worked together going back since 1999. We believe that happy employees build more beautiful landscapes and better companies.

Our construction division specialize in working with Landscape Architects, Designers, and Builders to bring their clients’ projects, and their design, to life. Our diverse workforce has been assembled from places such as Jamaica, Mexico, & El Salvador

Maximiliano Ruiz

Operation Manager/Founder

Maximiliano began his career in the landscape industry in 1999. With more than two decades of hands-on experience, he has successfully completed projects across Northern New Jersey. His dedication and deep knowledge of masonry and landscape construction have earned him a reputation for quality, precision, and reliability. 

Originally from Ecuador, Maximiliano studied at the University of Quito before financial challenges led him to pursue work opportunities. His entrepreneurial journey began early, navigating both successes and setbacks, which instilled in him a relentless work ethic and determination. In 2003, after mastering the trade of stone masonry in the U.S, he established his own business and has been building with pride ever since.

In 2022, his son official joined the family business, contributing expertise in marketing, business development, and systems to help expand and create better service to our customers. Today, Maximiliano oversees the craft and quality of work, while his son and the team ensure that every project runs smoothly, continuing the family tradition of excellence.

Max Ruiz

Vice President

Max brings a unique blend of field experience and business expertise to the company. Raised in a family of builders, he learned early on the value of hard work and commitment. After gaining professional experience in sales and marketing, he joined the family business in 2022 to modernize operations and drive growth through better customer support.

With a focus on marketing, client relations, and management, Max has helped shape the company into a more efficient and customer-focused operation. As a dedicated father of three, he is motivated to keep raising standards, constantly learning from industry experts to deliver the best results for every client.

Alexandra Ruiz

Admin

Alexandra is the heart of the company and has been involved since the very beginning alongside her husband, Maximiliano, the founder. Together, they laid the foundation for what has now become a family-run business with their children actively involved.
With a certificate in accounting (CPA), Alexandra oversees all administrative operations and ensures the company runs smoothly behind the scenes. Her dedication, organization, and support have been vital to the company’s growth and success.

James Ricci

Social Media Strategist

In 2020, James began his career working with Gary Vaynerchuk, a renowned entrepreneur in the social media and digital marketing space. Since then, he has built and scaled multiple marketing channels and continues to work as a part-time freelancer during the off-season, specializing in digital strategies that drive measurable business growth.
His expertise has earned him recognition from Fairfield University in Connecticut, where he was invited and currently teaches a course on digital marketing. James has also led campaigns for brands such as Wingstop, Oggi Gelato, Romanacci, and other respected companies. Today, his marketing skill set is a key driver of growth for True Patio.

Lucas Ruiz

Marketing

Lucas Ruiz, the second son of Maximiliano, is currently learning and implementing marketing strategies for the business. 
His role focuses on generating leads, managing email campaigns, and driving organic growth across True Patio’s social media platforms. Lucas’s fresh perspective and early involvement bring energy and innovation to the company’s marketing efforts.

Our first true pillar to success is good communication. We take our client relationships very seriously so we can provide you with the best experience from beginning to end. We'll provide estimates in a timely manner, start the project when we say we will , and eliminate delays by communicating with you at all points of the project.
